Submit a Script
The Shattered Glass Project welcomes scripts from women and non-binary theatre artists; scripts from male-identifying artists are of interest to us if the characters in the script are at least 50% female and represent a normal age space of women characters. We accept script submissions for a variety of readings from casual nonprofessional bookclub programs to professional workshops and full productions.
TSGP has a variety of options for playwrights whose works are in the development process. To submit a script sample of no more than 10 pages, please click on the button below.
Development options include:
Casual
Unrehearsed round-table readings with the Women’s Readers Theatre Bookclub. An opportunity to hear a play in the voices of non-professional community members with an interest in theatre and a different perspective on the making of plays.
Rehearsed
Concert readings 3 to 6 times per year at local community spaces. One to two weeks of rehearsal with a professionally trained cast.
Produced
Main stage productions with full workshopping. Reserved for scripts closest to their full performance potential. Scripts must never have been professionally produced in the past.
Upload a script or script sample of no more than 10 pages, in Word or PDF form only. Please include a separate cover sheet with your contact information (this does not apply toward the page count.) Contact information is required, and will be used only for communication and program information relevant to playwrights from The Shattered Glass Project. We will not share your script beyond staff and board members without contacting you. Please allow us at least 3 weeks for a response - we're a small organization, and will get back to you as promptly as possible.
