Sandra L. Holloway, director, choreographer, theater artist.
Sandra has worked with directors, choreographers, actors, musicians, dancers, and theater makers who have had great impact on her work. Her most recent credits include a staged reading of The Tragedians for Avant Bard Theater Company, The Transcendence for Macha Theatre Works, a staged reading of Bounce, #Woke for Mosaic Theater Company in Washington, DC: Also, for Mosaic Sandra directed and choreographed Marie and Rosetta. Gospel at Colonus for Avant Bard, Miss Fortune Has Green Eyes at Theater 4 Seattle, Black Pearl Sings at Metro Stage and many others. As an artist/activist, Sandra focus' her work on young adults making social change using the arts in the Atlas Performing Arts Centers’ City at Peace Program in Washington, DC where she facilitates the process of turning social issues into theater. Sandi is excited for the opportunity to present Privileged with The Shattered Glass Project and to have the opportunity to work on an Alma Davenport script.
Sandi is the recipient of the National Association of Regional Ballet Choreographers Conference Award, helped secure the Mayors Arts Award in Arts and Education for the City at Peace program, GAEA Foundation Sea Change Artist Award for Arts and Activism, the 2015 Paula Giddings Arts Award and was a 2014 Presenter at Alternate ROOTS Week Festival.
